Royal Poinciana Golf Club is one of the most exclusive clubs in Naples. It is a private, invitation-only establishment and members love its two beautifully maintained 18-hole golf courses. The club, which was established in the late 1960s, also has eight HydroGrid soft tennis courts, indoor and outside dining options, two pickleball courts, a bridge program, and an extensive social program. From the number one tee, the Pines Course spans 6,458 yards. Its greens are elevated and steep in places, with undulating putting surfaces and deeper bunkers. From the number one tee, the Cypress Course is 6,458 yards. When you play a round on this course, you’ll be surrounded by cypress trees, ponds and lakes. Additionally, you’ll see more narrow fairways.

Hole-in-the-Wall Golf Club is truly a hole in the wall, but in the best way possible. It has been one of the most luxurious clubs in Naples since 1957, and membership is by invitation only. Renovated in 2009, the 6565-yard golf course has 109 bunkers, a large glistening lake, and a set of long tees. There is a state-of-the-art practice facility, and the course is a player’s course through and through. The club is also a wildlife haven as 50 acres of cypress swamps and woods have been set aside for wildlife conservation. Additionally, it has been dubbed a fully certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

Fifth Avenue South is where people go when they want to enjoy a good meal. The architecture will make you feel like you’re in Italy or Spain. It’s absolutely breathtaking. There are a handful of shops you won’t find anywhere else and if you want to relax and enjoy the weather, Cambier Park is a short walk away. During season it features various musical performances and sometimes there are movie nights in the park, which is a great event for families.

Third Street South is also home to restaurants offering mouthwatering fare, and there are high-end boutiques full of all sorts of treasures just waiting to be discovered. Third Street South is also home to fun, musical events during season. Make sure you visit the very popular farmers market on the weekends.

History of Port Royal

Glen Sample helped create Port Royal and he had the vision for it as far back as 1938. The radio advertising professional bought two square miles in what is now present-day Port Royal. Those two square miles would eventually become 600 single-family building lots featuring deep-water access to the Ten Thousand Islands and the Gulf of Mexico. The Port Royal Club was recognized in 1959.

Port Royal got its name from the 17th century port city in Jamaica known for its extravagant displays of wealth. Situated between Naples Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, Port Royal homes for sale range from 3,000 to more than 18,000 square feet.
