Ted has been a SW Florida resident for 35+ years (over ½ of his life has been spent in this area). Following graduate school from Miami University in Oxford, OH, he relocated to Sarasota, FL (where he spent family vacations as a child). He was in Sarasota for 10 years and for the past 25 years has been a resident of S. Fort Myers. He & his wife, Carolyn, married 20 years ago on Sanibel at Carolyn's family home. They currently live in the S. Fort Myers area of Iona, a hidden gem that hugs the west coast between FMB and Sanibel.
Ted's journey that led him to this area brought him through:
Athens, GA where he was born, a true southerner
Piqua, OH where he was raised as a mid-western boy riding and showing horses
Cincinnati, OH where he studied in the College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati
Holland, MI where he received his BA degree from Hope College
Oxford, OH where he received his Master's in Gerontological Studies / MGS degree (study of aging) from Miami University
Through his educational background & life experiences, he understands the impact of the aging process on housing needs and how each generation (Baby Boomers, Millennials, Gen X & Z, etc.) has characteristics of its own.
