Homes in the Lake Forest neighborhood offer future residents at least 3,200 square feet of enclosed living space and homesites may be up to half an acre. Many homes boast picturesque lake views and surround the ninth and first holes of the North Course.
Magnolia Bend is the only neighborhood with direct access to the Commons Club. Oakbrook has gorgeous nature views and homesites range in size to more than one-half acre. It’s maintained by the Shadow Wood Community Association. Homes are also close to the clubhouse and equal distance to both gates.
Homes in the Kenwood neighborhood are offer breathtaking lake views. They are flanked by water on two sides and if that’s not enough, they also overlook the 11th fairway and North Course green. There are five models that range from 2,153 to 2,776 square feet of living space. Homes in Plumbago Pointe also span 2,153 to 2,776 square feet of living space, and homesites are 65 feet wide. Sycamore Grove boasts two models that overlook a scenic preserve or lake. Homes in Woodmont range from 2,405 to 3,733 square feet and they’re nestled between lakes and the 14th, 15th and 16th fairways of the North Course.
Single-family villas range in size from 1,800 to 3,820 square feet. Homes in Baycrest offer views of sawgrass, white sand and the 17th fairway. Villas in Ginger Pointe boast views of the fourth, fifth and sixth fairways of the South Course. Homes in Baycrest are also a short walk from tennis courts, golf practice areas and the clubhouse. All homes feature golf course views and homes on the north side overlook a large lake. Potential residents may choose between five different floor plans. Each one also has a screened lanai with a pool and most include a heated spa for those chilly Florida nights.
Hawthorne is positioned between a dazzling lake and the fourth and fifth fairways of the North Course. Homes in Laurel Meadow are surrounded by a lake and feature views of the preserve and the 13th and 14th holes of the South Course.

The villas’ pools and lanais all face to the south or west. Oak Strand is also located in the center of the Shadow Wood community, in the middle of all of the action. The Sweet Bay neighborhood features lake views and views of the first, 17th and 18th holes of the South Course. It also features a charming cobblestone street lined with Royal Palms. Tamarind Trace is located between the 15th and 16th fairways of the South Course. Homes overlook two lakes, tall Cypress trees and soft, rolling fairways. There are also five floor plans available.

The 18th Terrace and Event Plaza, located off Calabria, boasts an outdoor bar, covered seating, a fire pit, and it overlooks the 18th green.

On-site Nature Trails
There are also three nature trails in Shadow Wood for residents who want to stay active. The green and yellow trails are both 3.1 miles and the red trail is 2.7. There is another trail available to residents of The Brooks. The indigo trail is 4.1 miles long.
The green trail winds through lakes, nature preserves and Shadow Wood Country Club. The yellow trail covers expansive areas of nature preserves. The red trail borders the country club and has gorgeous vistas of the community’s lakes and nature preserves.
Shadow Wood Beach Club and Other Neighborhood Clubs
The Shadow Wood Beach Club is located on Bonita Beach. The private beach area has a snack bar, grills, showers, restrooms and private parking. Residents of Shadow Wood also have the option of joining the Brooks Commons Club, which offers an extensive roster of amenities.
Shadow Wood is home to many different types of clubs, making it easy to socialize with neighbors and new friends. These include a fishing club, garden club, social bridge, ladies’ bridge, men’s bridge, beginners’ Mahjong, and a bike club.
Shadow Wood Golf – Bonita Springs

The Shadow Wood golf program has an active event calendar, too. There are more than 200 yearly events including neighborhood outings, state tournaments, and men's, ladies’, and couples’ tournaments.
Members and guests can practice their game at the golf academy, which offers a double-sided driving range, target bunkers, target greens and expansive tees. There are also multiple short game areas and a large putting green. To make sure you’re swinging like a pro in no time, the golf academy also features the latest technological aids, such as video swing analysis and a club fitting studio. Lessons and clinics from a fully-certified PGA instructor and team of PGA and LGPA professionals are also available.
